Rudy is an art and motion director with 15+ years of experience in designing creative for established brands as well as challenger brands that need complete brand stewardship and execution. Her experience spans a broad range of applications including advertising, motion graphics, product development and brand development.

APPROACH

Trained with a visual communications degree, my design tastes meld traditional craft techniques with modern animation. I love the grit of risograph, the sincerity of hand lettering, and believe in the magic of film.

Interpreting ideas with a client is an art of its own. The practice of building dynamic pitch decks is just as important as the production and guidance of how to use finished assets.

My best work is done while working with a team of multidisciplinary artists and thinkers to refine our casual conversations and doodles into ideas and concepts.

 THE JOB

TABASCO and McIlhenny Co. needed help in maintaing their iconic bottle, triangle label, and brand advertising, in over 180 countries around the world.

I worked closely with design director Jeff Hale and team 77Ventures to improve their global archival platform and create assets, toolkits, guidelines, packaging, and animations with one of the most iconic brands on the planet.

THE JOB

Resy is an American online restaurant-reservation service that needed to create a more cohesive brand presence across social channels, and a reinforced visual identity.

As an ACD for production house Boomshot, I worked closely with the Resy marketing team to create branded content and develop the visual approach for several national campaigns that would invite users to the app and capture the magic of restaurants.

I specifically loved creating unique type treatments, animations, and graphics to round out featured content across several programs.

 

Resy Film Club was one of our first social initiatives. We put disposable cameras into the hands of the restaurants to capture the magic of food on film. This program remains the visual language for the brand and its first ever branded video media.

 THE JOB

MSNBC needed to establish a unified look and feel for their instagram. I worked closely with Tim Hubblle and team boomshot to improve and modernize the way MSNBC shares News on Instagram.

We built guidelines and templates that have evolved into how MSNBC currently shares the news on their instagram.

 
 

We were also asked to go beyond today’s headlines with several programs to highlight MSNBC’s personality. I teamed up with Young Gun winner Yuval Hacker to create some fun motion driven pieces for the MSNBC Road Warriors.

One of my favorite MSNBC projects was pitching creative content for Ari Melbar’s “The Beat”.

The concepts were designed to highlight Ari’s original usage of Hip Hop lyrics to highlight part of what makes The Beat fun, different and appealing to younger and more diverse viewers.

I developed a dynamic microsite to incorporate our vision.
